- Device and Push Notification Data: Device identifier, OS version, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens required to deliver real-time prayer alerts and Jamaath announcements.
- Location Information (Optional): Precise or approximate location data used solely to calculate accurate local prayer times (Salat timings) and Qibla direction.
- User-Generated Content & Listings: Product details (for vendors in the Islamic Shopping Portal) and package details (for tour operators in Hajj & Umrah listings), including title, price, description, images, and WhatsApp contact number.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following legitimate purposes:
- Authenticating your account via phone number and One-Time Password (OTP).
- Delivering Jamaath updates, bayan schedules, Friday Jumaah notices, and emergency announcements.
- Facilitating mosque dues tracking, Khata management, and subscription management for Jamaath committees.
- Providing access to digital Islamic tools including Quran recitation, Azkar supplications, and Tasbeeh counters.
- Connecting community members with verified Islamic product vendors and Hajj/Umrah tour operators via direct WhatsApp communication.
- Ensuring app security, preventing fraudulent activity, and maintaining platform uptime.
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
Your information is shared only under the following limited circumstances:
- Authorized Jamaath Administrators: Mosque administrators of your selected Jamaath can view registered member names and contact numbers for administrative purposes.
- Trusted Service Providers: Secure cloud infrastructure providers (AWS / Hostinger / DigitalOcean), SMS gateways for OTP delivery, and Google Firebase for push notifications.
- Legal Compliance: When required by law, subpoena, or government order to comply with legal processes in India.
5. Account & Data Deletion (App Store & Play Store Compliance)
We respect your right to control your personal data. In accordance with Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1 and Google Play Store policies, you have full control to permanently delete your account and associated data at any time:
- In-App Account Deletion: Open the Sawtdeen App → Navigate to My Profile → Tap Delete Account → Confirm deletion. Your account and all stored profile data will be permanently removed immediately.
- Email Request: You can also request complete account and data deletion by sending an email to info@sawtdeen.com or support@sawtdeen.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and your registered phone number. Requests are processed within 24 hours.

We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS HTTPS encryption for data in transit, salted bcrypt password hashing, JWT authentication with automatic 5-day expiration, and role-based access control to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
